Halloween 2011

What is this?
Spider and veil headband - Hallmark, Black long-sleeve shirt - Target, Bronze belt - Target, Jeans - 7 for All Mankind, Boots - Frye
This is such a normal outfit! One that makes you question my dedication to both clothes and books on this Halloween day!
I mean, that headband is super sweet and all...
Oh no she didn't.
Could it be...the most amazing Halloween costume ever? But what is it?
Does this face expression help? The shock and horror?
Still don't know?
(Pic way darkened so you can read the words.)
You guys, I'm a V.C. Andrews novel.

Thanks to everybody that helped with the costume--Husband for finding big boxes with me and taping shoulder straps in this baby, Dad for box cutting, Mom for the general design, Child for growing out of the clothes used on this board. And of course V.C. for endless hours of happy reading.

  1. LOL, greatest most original costume EVER, you should have went to Franklin street, those drunks wouldn't have known what to do. VC Andrews would be especially proud!

  2. Thanks! I was pretty proud of it! I only got to wear it at work for a few minutes because my neighborhood's party got rained out, but it was so worth it!

  3. Keep it for next year's neighborhood party! Its too good not be used for a full night of viewing.

  4. Yeah, that's probably what I'll do. My officemate/manager/friend wants to keep it in our office for a while to admire. She totally gets it.

  5. That's definitely the most thought out costume I've ever seen. It's a lot better than the costume I had last year. I got an eye patch and said arrrg, you guessed it, a plainclothes pirate.

  6. Thanks, Robert! I think we all have some easy costumes ready and waiting--eye patches, cat ears, witch's hat--but I really wanted to try something new this year. Glad you liked it!
