Her hair was full of seeeecrets

I wish so much that I could go outside for my pictures. All the best style bloggers seem to take their pics outside. But a lot of these pictures are taken by me, with limited time in the morning or late evening. I'm trying to play with the light here some, though.
Does the darkness make this picture look depressing?
Let there be light!
Beige tank - Don't know...somewhere in Japan?, Fuchsia shirt - Forever 21, Belt - Primark, Skirt - Ann Taylor Loft, Cream and black flats - Sam Edelman
This outfit was a bit of a mess. I just wanted to wear this skirt--not because I love it, but it's one of the few work-appropriate skirts I own that survived the Weight Gain of 2010 (it wasn't a lot, but enough to go up a dress size. And I always intend to buy more work-appropriate skirts, but then I get distracted by fun things.) Then I thought, Oh, I'll make this skirt better with a fun color shirt. I wore this shirt in blue last week and worried about cleavage, so I put on a beige tank under it (white tanks were all dirty). Then I decided to add the belt and shoes to help out the beige. No, it's not the worst outfit on the planet, but it's definitely...off somehow.
And dark again.
Also off? I normally wear my hair up when trotting around in flats. It gives an illusion of height. But my hair was killer today, so there you go. And now you know all of my secrets too. You're welcome.

  2. Thanks. I think I'm just down on this skirt some. I don't feel like shopping for it, but I think I need more work dresses and skirts.
